RECRUITMENT
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Nestled at the hub of one of Brooklyn's most vital art centers, the Williamsburg Preparatory High School offers a rigorous college prep curriculum in a small school setting. Students enjoy small classes, sports, clubs, as well as dedicated and highly qualified teachers and advanced placement classes. Our goal is to give every student the academic and personal skills they will need to be admitted to a college and to obtain a 4-year degree.
ACADEMICS
Prep combines an education rich in math, science, and technology with a humanities program that synthesizes literature, world history, and current events.
At WP, you will have the option of taking several AP classes. These courses are designed to deepen student understanding in the topic. At the end of the year, the Advanced Placement test is administered and any student earning a 3 or higher can receive college credit from participating universities.
In addition to AP classes, WP participates in College Now, a program that provides students the opportunity to take college classes at New York City College of Technology during their Junior and Senior years.
OPPORTUNITIES
Students attend college fairs, visit museums, and enjoy New York's cultural life. WP frequently participates in the Broadway Bridges program allowing students to see free broadway shows.
Prep offers an array of afterschool clubs including music, art, soccer, video games, barre, and more. Students can join PSAL sports teams along with their peers in the Van Arsdale Campus.
